Before the year ends.....

"on cloud 9"...... this is my last creations for 2009 ... anyway there's lots on here....
the background was created by painting transparency squares and then embossing them thru the cuttle bug and then sanding the painted backs...then sandwiched together for my background.... french knots and stitching with wool on the edge.... using my up up and away doodles... scroll down if you want to print them off for yourself too... handmade denim buttons..scroll down for those steps too.... and my prize piece is my fimo hot air balloon.... isn't it totally awesome and cute as... well i think so.... made that mushroom and button too.... and that gorgeous pink bird is by "my little bit of whimsy" ... you have to check out her stuff and get some...it's the cutest stuff.... I just ordered more... it sure does add that whimsy touch...

...take a closer look at that hot air balloon...totally rocks yeah!!!! lol...

...oh and i just got this mag... so better share... Miss Storm with a whole page "Christmas gallery" in SBM... noice missy!!!!

...and miss holly and miss storm and there's miss wally also.... noice... miss storm sporting a new look this Christmas ...with teeth missing... got to love that look!!!
...love how this turned out in the SBM noice and bright.... photo of me is a shocker but!!!

"reindeer designed by storm pearce".......

My sweet DD storm designed these special reindeer's for her teachers... she drew on some foam and i cut them out... and we embellished them together... added in some hand stitching and fun doodling as that's what she loves to do herself... now all i want to do is get a cookie cutter made using storm's design... i think it's real sweet... so if you can help me find someone who makes them... give me a shout...

hmmmm what should i call this post......

...printable "doodle alphas"

... OK so i was busy doodling over the weekend and decide that some alphas would be fun.... so here are mine that you can "save as" or "save image as" and print out..... just make your own adjustments.... you can cut them out and use them on the next sketch that's up... if you need more letters have ago yourself or simply print out a few times... a little tip once they are printed out go over them with a black gel pen so that they are bold!!!

... and a sketch for you to work with over Christmas or in the new year sometime.... totally up to you how you want to take it on!!!!.... but i would love to see the doodle alphas on it!

... I have also been scrapping a little clearly.... using lots of great products that are available in the Scrapping Clearly shop.....Bling, Fozz Felt and Hambly Printed Screens go check it out....

..."2009 Kalgoorlie"...

this tree album has no photos yet ... it's kind of special as we celebrate our last Christmas in the goldfields as we are moving next year to Capel....I will miss this place and all the friends i have made....it's really sad as this has been my home since coming from New Zealand ... meeting my DH and having three beautiful girls here...
... anyway this album was easy and fun to scrap ... i used thin foam strips on the front, use a Heidi Swapp spottie mask on all the other pages with some ooh lah lah spottie paper and made spottie buttons to match... and added one of my acrylic birdcages on the front with a key and assorted ribbon.....

the scrapped doodles.....

EDIT to add: Ok..... I'm excited to say that this Layout was spotted over at 2 peas and is now going to be published in a E-magazine......COOL..... that will be my first...YAY.... will let you know when it hits the screens!!!!

this layout is also my take on Lucy's challenge over at AMM... she wanted us to fine something in the home to use as a mask and get misting... so I used storm's plastic horse.... plus here are my "up up and away" doodles...... really love how this turned out...

There's lots going on with this layout.... i cut out to paper frames and layer them using 3D tape and slipped some of the doodles under the frame.... swiped paint across the background and then used my heidi swapp spottie mask....which you will be seeing lots of....handmade CB buttons and a felt tree.....and a touch of bling...

How to.... "denim buttons"

"denim buttons"

1... draw and cut cloud/circle shape from scrap denim
2... stamp cloud shape with paint and bubble wrap... allow to dry
3... use a croc-a-dile and hole punch holes and then set with eyelets
4... thread wool thru / knot and finish by fraying the edges... mount using 3D tape

for the demin circle buttons...same instructions but instead of stamping a design...use embroidery thread and add stitches
...
"comic book paper flowers" - any sort of book will do - even scraps of pattern paper just layer the sheets together so you punch just the once of each size... no mucking about that way!

1... 3 different size circle punches
2... hold 5 pages together and punch
3... now layer the 3 sizes on top of each other
4... use your croc-a-dile punch hole, add a brad
5... use scissors to fringe it... now have fun and scrap them

printable #1 "christmas fruit doodles"

- you need to right click and "save image as"
- make your own adjustments and print - looks awesome if you print on photo paper and just color in.... i use acrylic paints add a wee bit of water so it runs smooth... plus stampin-up white gel pen and my black pen is aqua lip.... they work well on photo paper.... and doodling on kraft CS is awesome...

and cut out.... awesome ..... my favourite....

...handmade: felt yo yo, pink silk bloom, dyed doilies, denim buttons...
"archie comic book" background, glimmer misting, masking using my birdcage design...and my all time favorite buzz and bloom CB stems...

"she was so shy when she was 4"

...handmade: felt yo yo, denim button..... some doodling and painting... letters cut from pizza boxx using cuttlebug...

• get that comic book look by trimming your photo's unevenly... like a Polaroid....

• doodle a border line on your photo.

• use speech bubbles for your journal ling and titles

• or just cut the speech bubbles from the comic books and use them...

• use scenes from a comic book for a fun collage background

and I hope you will jump on board and get into some comic books ...

This darling little girl is now 4 mths old and rolls over!!!!
she is extremely strong... I sit and watch her pull herself forward in her chair to grab at the toys...I think we will see a tooth soon too!!! oh and she giggles lots...it's the cutest thing to hear!!!!

Next is a LO i created for a challenge over at a million memories set by Larissa she wanted us to get inspired by using a circus theme.... so here you have it a little girl with a swimming cap and a red nose on .... she was cracking jokes and screaming out silly names... she is my clown...
